Health Information
In the past, we offered you information on general matters of health that may concern you. It is a continuous effort on our behalf to keep you up to date on all of the relevant material, which may well be out-dated shortly after updating the information. We have reviewed this procedure and decided a better approach will be to use this page to give you a brief description and an internet link to our parent NHS web site and other useful sites that will give you the answers and information you are seeking, which you can rest assured, will always be up to date.

The NHS Direct - Self-help guide covers the most common symptoms which people call NHS Direct about for advice. It is intended to be used by residents of England. Residents in Scotland who use the guide should call NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24 in place of NHS Direct.
The Self-help guide doesn't cover all symptoms. If the guide does not cover your symptoms, call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 for advice.
