If you develop a problem when the surgery is closed please telephone out of hours. A doctor will be available to give you advice. If the doctor needs to see you, you may be asked to go to the Primary Care Centre at the Accident and Emergency Department in Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.

Out of hours cover is between 6.30pm and 8.30am on weekdays and at weekends from 6.30pm Friday until 8.00am on Monday.

NHS Direct is a 24-hour telephone helpline. The helpline is led by nurses who can give you telephone advice and health information. Anyone can ring NHS Direct, at any time, for health advice. If you feel that there is something wrong with you, or someone you are calling about, a NHS Direct nurses will use their skills and experience, together with a comprehensive computer system, to advise you on the most appropriate course of action to take. Whatever the problem, the NHS Direct nurse will listen to the symptoms you describe and advise you what to do for the best. If your problem is very serious, they will connect you to the ambulance service.
